A Time To Remember.
Whether we know someone personally or we have only heard great stories from others around us, or whether we have seen their faces and heard their names at a Remembrance Day Ceremony, one thing is certain, we owe immense respect and gratitude to all the men and women responsible for peace and freedom.
This year I would also like to pay a special homage to Tam's Dad, Ken Abbotts, a WW2 Navy Veteran. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 88. A gentle soul with quick wit and an appreciation for the truth, Ken was unaware of the meaning of selfish and was always willing to help others.
And I know that saying 'Thank You' may not be enough as it seems to barely scratch the surface of what I am trying to convey, but it is definitely a start.
So, let's observe a moment of silence at 11 a.m. on November 11... and to all the serving and previous members of our armed forces, Thank you.

Our colleagues from across the Americas came together for both virtual and in-person bike rides to raise funds and awareness for our philanthropic partner and we are proud to share that Saturday's Engel & Völkers Rides for Special Olympics event raised a total of $40,502 for our partners at Special Olympics as they work to create a more inclusive world.

The votes for the 2020 U.S. election have been cast and we all await for the last few votes to be counted in the last few battleground states.
While we may be closer to finding out who the next president of the United States will be, one thing is for certain, this was a very tight race and whoever gets elected will have an impact on the rest of the world, and we will be talking about this election and the next few days for decades to come.

In Flanders Fields The Poppies Blow |
Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae, a Canadian Medical Officer during the First World War, was struck by the sight of the red flowers growing on a ravaged battlefield and wrote the Poem “In Flanders Fields”.
Not only would the poem be used at countless memorial ceremonies, and become one of the most famous works of art to emerge from the Great War, but it also inspired the use of the poppy as a Remembrance symbol.

Meet Clava, a small but mighty kitten that caught the attention of the GTHS staff and volunteers right away. Found in a local barn with his mother and two siblings, the medical team noticed something different about this little grey kitten, his back legs were splayed out like the hind legs of a frog.
