Those who live, work and travel near the Maguire Street corridor construction can use this update to plan driving and walking routes for the next week.

Central Missouri Speedway Announces Additional Details for the 2025 Race Season!


Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) has long been a track known for not only standing by the true meaning of fantastic stock car racing but by also setting the standard in advocating for logical class rules and payouts. The 2025 season will be no exception to this watermark as Shark Chassis and 405 Performance Fuel, along with owners and promoters Earl and Susan Walls are pleased to announce a purse bump for the class, which in recent years has regained momentum and produced some of the finest racing in recent memory.

With the passage of HB 567, Missouri has officially repealed the Earned Paid Sick Time mandate created by Proposition A. This mandate placed heavy costs and burdens on businesses, forcing many to overhaul policies and cut staff.

 

Signed by Gov. Mike Kehoe, the new law takes effect Thursday, August 28, 2025.

Community Invited to Annual

Get the Red Out at UCM on Sept. 11


The community is invited to a fun-filled evening at the annual Get the Red Out street fair from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at the University of Central Missouri (UCM).


In a longstanding tradition co-hosted by UCM and the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce, thousands of people are expected to attend Get the Red Out as they show their UCM spirit ahead of the Mules Football team’s first home game of the season. The free event will take place on Holden Street between South and Clark streets on the west side of campus.

Elliott Student Union.  

From 7:45 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, we will be hosting a come-and-go reception in Union 240 for the UCM and Warrensburg communities.

Western Missouri Dermatology & Medical Aesthetics to Provide Comprehensive Skin Care Services

Warrensburg, MO — Western Missouri Medical Center will open a new dermatology clinic on Aug. 19, expanding access to comprehensive, medically driven skin care services for the Johnson County community and beyond. While the new clinic space in the Medical Office Building is being prepared, services will be offered temporarily in Surgical Services of Warrensburg.
