A little over a year ago, I joined this organization as executive director. In that time I've had the privilege of getting to know hundreds of my fellow patients and survivors, caregivers, clinicians, and organizations in this community of folks facing abdominal cancers. This spirit of connection was the genesis of the Abdominal Cancers Alliance and I am inspired by how that spirit continues to flourish. Rooted in these deep ties with this community - and informed by our powerful stories, nuanced challenges, and shared hopes - the Alliance has grown to become the heart of our mission.
And so we are excited to share that Partners for Cancer Care and Prevention is changing its name to the Abdominal Cancers Alliance!
This name change reflects not only how far we’ve come but also where we’re going. By making this change, we aim to make it easier for patients, caregivers, clinicians, and advocates to find us, understand our work, and join us in advancing awareness and improving support for those affected by rare and advanced abdominal cancers. In fact, we have refined our mission to be simple and powerful: to empower and connect the abdominal cancers community to save and improve lives!
