Everything Evergreen

Hello there

We've been busy, busy these past few weeks! We finished up our Allegany County Public Schools 8th grade field trips and started 6th grade trips. We also attended Heritage Day's in Cumberland, 5th grade Outdoor School each week, and hosted our Fall Festival Open House.

Earlier this month, we hosted our Be Our Guest event and we watched the ARC Family Dinner in the Evergreen Barn.

As we continue through the school year, we expect nothing less than to continue to stay busy each and every month!

In the News...

Evergreen has been awarded grant funding from the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce to support damage repairs after the May 13th flood.

We are so grateful!

The More You Know!

It's a great time to collect native seeds! Many common native plants have gone to seed and waiting to overwinter until next year. If you decide to collect seeds, make sure you're collecting on your own property (or somewhere you have permission), selecting mature and healthy plants, and leaving enough behind for wildlife and natural regeneration.

President & Founder Janice Keene attended the Appalachian Regional Commission Welcome Reception on Oct. 6th at Frostburg State University.
