Welcome New Board Members Christine

Congratulations to Christine Battles, Chief Administrative Officer, Advanced Mechanical Enterprises and Giancarlo Zuniga, Market President, Truist, on joining the JA Board of Directors. Christine is passionate about the marine industry and worked tirelessly to bring its career opportunities to Broward County students in the Sea The World storefront in JA Finance Park. New Storefronts Open in JA World

We are thrilled to welcome and thank new JA BizTown and JA Finance Park storefront partners to JA World!

Better Business Bureau, Rick Case Automotive and Truly Nolen will be joining 15 dedicated companies in JA BizTown this fall. Consolidated Credit/Debt.com will now be among 16 visionary companies in JA Finance Park.

Their decision to partner is a great investment strategy. These companies are not only investing in the programs that help prepare future generations of our workforce, but they're also demonstrating their commitment to the community and building their brands as companies that give back.

"Our company is committed to creating a stronger community. We believe teaching young people the importance of making positive financial decisions is critical to success and stability. Our decision to support JA programs and create a physical presence in JA World is a great way to invest in every young person," shared Howard Dvorkin, CEO, Consolidated Credit.

A storefront in JA World is a prime investment in the future! If you're interested in one of the few open storefronts, please contact Adrinia Woods, Chief Revenue Officer, at Adrina@JASouthFlorida.org

How JA Is Transforming Education – Introducing the 3DE School Model

"Education is transformational. It changes lives." ~ Condoleezza Rice

3DE schools by Junior Achievement is changing the high school education experience across the country. Junior Achievement of South Florida is thrilled to announce they have partnered with Broward County Public Schools to bring the model to two local high schools - Charles W Flanagan and McArthur High Schools. .

3DE (3-Dimensional Education) is a partnership of school districts, business leaders and Junior Achievement to accelerate student engagement and academic outcomes in traditional public high schools. "Our mutual goal is to provide the most engaging learning environment possible for students. JA programs compliment the work of BCPS in the classroom, at JA World and in the community," said Dr. Vickie L. Cartwright, BCPS Schools Superintendent.

3DE re-engineers high school education to be more relevant, experiential, and authentically connected to the complexities of the real world to prepare today’s students for the demands of tomorrow’s economy.

The success of the 3DE school model is centered around business partnerships that bring real world business cases into all core subjects to connect academics with real world application, helping to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and skillset in our students. Thanks to DeloitteIsland TVNova Southeastern University and Tinuiti for providing real business challenges and mentoring to students!
