VALENT JOINS FORCES WITH GARDINER FOR EXCITING MUSEUM EXPANSION

Valent was thrilled to team up with Ohio representative Gardiner and Project Engineer, Rob Segovia, on an exciting project that will transform the National Museum of the Great Lakes. This remarkable museum showcases the rich narratives of the Great Lakes through photography, captivating artifacts, audiovisual presentations, and immersive interactive exhibits. The museum has been undergoing construction for a 5,000-square-foot expansion, which will help improve accessibility, introduce dedicated spaces for temporary and traveling exhibits, add a new permanent exhibit area, and a welcoming community education center.

Ensuring the comfort of guests in a climate-controlled environment was a key aspect of the project, and that's where Valent played a crucial role. Valent supplied four units for this project: one VX-112 unit and three VX-12 units, which are equipped with packaged DX cooling and indirect gas heating. Additionally, the VX-12 units feature single zone VAV control and demand-controlled ventilation (DCV). DCV effectively conserves energy by reducing outdoor airflow below the designed ventilation rate during low occupancy periods.

The grand opening of the expansion is scheduled for next month, June 2025. Valent is proud to be a part of this project that helps preserve and celebrate the rich history and significance of the Great Lakes. Thank you for partnering with us, Gardiner!
