WARMLine Supports Marylanders Experiencing Family Stress

It’s been called the happiest time of year, but even the most joyous holiday season can cause stress for individuals and families. And family stress can be particularly intense for those of us who provide caregiving support for aging parents. Caregivers face the daily strains of anticipating and providing for another adult’s daily needs often combined with grieving the loss of the parent they knew.

Pro Bono Counseling’s WARMLine is a free and confidential mental health resource available to support Marylanders experiencing such family stressors. Staffed by trained mental health professionals, the WARMLine team can provide emotional support and assistance, and refer callers to other resources if needed.

Donors Doubled Their Impact on GIVING TUESDAY

A very special thank you goes out to everyone who chose to double your impact on GIVING TUESDAY!

Pro Bono Counseling raised more than $8,400 during the week of GIVING TUESDAY thanks to your generosity and support. PBC's Board of Directors matched all donations dollar for dollar.

Every dollar donated to Pro Bono Counseling translates into counseling hours and mental health resources for those in need. It brings us one step closer to realizing our vision—a Maryland where every individual knows that help is available and accessible.

We appreciate everyone's commitment to Pro Bono Counseling's mission.

PBC Resource Corner: Maryland Coalition of Families

December is often a time for social gatherings and holiday traditions, but it can also bring unique challenges for families supporting loved ones facing mental health concerns. The Maryland Coalition of Families (MCF), a statewide nonprofit that provides guidance and support to people caring for someone with mental health, substance use, or problem gambling challenges, reminds families that they are not alone. By providing compassionate support and resources, MCF helps families find hope and strength during the holiday season and beyond.
