Duke and NCCU Collaborative in Reproductive Sciences Receives $50,000 Grant
Friederike Jayes, DVM, PhD
, and
Darlene K. Taylor, PhD
(Adjunct Faculty) have been awarded a $25,000 (respectively) Duke-NCCU collaborative award for 2019. The research award will advance studies to deliver drugs via LiquoGel™ to potentially soften and treat uterine fibroid tumors. The targeted technology could transform uterine fibroid therapy for the seven in ten women and eight in ten black women silently suffering from this disease.

Do you have research/studies that might appeal to a lay audience or make a great feature for
Clinical Practice Today
(which provides specialty-specific content about improved patient outcomes, diagnostic skills, and streamlined processes)?
If you are working on something very significant, please give a heads up when you submit it. This is an enormous help with timing in order to evaluate whether a study will appeal to a lay audience or a physician audience, and how we might get the word out.

Questions about doing research at Duke? Ask your RPM

OnCore is the Clinical Research Management System that supports clinical research activities at Duke. This system provides robust reporting, enrollment tracking, and accurate clinical research billing. OnCore training is required for all users to gain access to the system.

Do you need help with REDCap or statistical analysis for your research?
|
|
The Department of Ob/Gyn collaborates with a team of research professionals that provide these services. Department faculty, staff, students and trainees may request support for these services by completing a brief survey located on the Department website.
