Program News and Notes

Program Timeline

The application period for the Discrimination Financial Assistance Program is closed, as of Jan. 17, 2024. We have received tens of thousands of applications to date, and continue to collect applications that were postmarked in recent days. The National Administrator and Regional Hubs will now begin the process of reviewing and scoring the applications, using a USDA-approved rubric. All eligible applications will be referred to USDA for approval of payments, and decisions will be made for all applications at the same time.

This will be the last scheduled weekly newsletter, though USDA and the program administrators may send updates in the coming months to keep people apprised of the process.

Call Center is Open

The Discrimination Financial Assistance Program call center will remain open until after program payments are made. Operating hours will be from 8 a.m. EST to 8 p.m. PST, with English- and Spanish-speaking agents available, seven days per week (except Federal holidays) for the next several weeks, and weekdays after February 18, 2024. You can also email questions to info@22007apply.gov. All customer offices are closed starting January 18, 2024.
