CHOC Walk in the Park Returns to Disneyland Resort

CHOC image

Thousands of participants gathered at Disneyland Resort for the first time since 2019 to join CHOC Walk in the Park — an inspiring trek across Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks in support of Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Along the 5K route, participants were greeted by beloved Disney characters, Disney VoluntEARS and cast members eager to make the morning magical. The rainy weather didn't dampen the spirits of those involved in the event, which raised over $2 million dollars to support the hospital’s vital programs and research.

AIME image

Since 2019, Disneyland Resort has participated in the annual AIME program — Anaheim’s Innovative Mentoring Experience — which gives rising seniors from Anaheim Union High School District the opportunity to take part in a professional work environment. This year, Disneyland Resort hosted 12 of these students for a six-week professional development experience as part of its community workforce development initiative. During the summer program, the students worked one-on-one with mentors, learned about the various roles at the resort and participated in workshops and presentations to prepare them for their bright futures.
