The Standards and Conformance (S&C) Department is pleased to announce the release of a new Technical Note (TN-9) on wiring your DC or DCC layout. The TN provides the fundamentals of wiring needed to have a reliable layout. It cuts through much of the material available in published books and gives the modeler core material needed to be successful.  It will help those planning a layout as well as those that have an existing DC or DCC layout. Please give it a look at:

 

For those interested in the details of DCC, mostly electronic technical modelers and manufacturers, a revision to the DCC Standard S-9.1.2 (Power Station Interface) and a new accompanying Technical Note (TN-9.1.2) have been approved by the DCC Working Group and released for comment by the general membership. Comments are due by 31 May 2021. The S&C Department plans to present these documents to the Board of Directors at their July Board meeting for approval. You can review the documents under the heading "Documents released for NMRA Membership Comment" at:
