Join us for High Roads to the Holidays, an unforgettable evening of merriment at America's National Churchill Museum.


Enjoy a gallery talk "1941: Christmas at the White House with Churchill and Roosevelt" by Museum Director Timothy Riley, a Members Preview of the new exhibition, Holiday in the Trenches, children's activities, cookies, carols, and moreall within the glow of the historic St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury.


Also, look forward to a silent auction of locally famous desserts organized by the Mid-Missouri Friends of America's National Churchill Museum Board of Directors.


Give the gift of Museum membership. All event attendees will receive a $20 discount when they purchase any level membership to America's National Churchill Museum.


$20 per person, but free for Museum members, children 11 and under, Westminster College employees and students. Churchillian Hors d'Oeurvres and libations will be served.

39th Festival of Lessons & Carols

This beloved, time-honored Lessons and Carols event is patterned after the original Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at King’s College, University of Cambridge, England.


The service includes the reading of nine biblical scriptures that pertain to the Christmas story. Each reading is followed by a reflective carol sung by Westminster College's Churchill Singers and guest performers.


This popular event is expected to draw a capacity audience. Overflow seating to watch the livestream will be available in the undercroft.


The 39th Festival of Lessons and Carols is hosted by Westminster College's Cener for Faith and Service, Westminster's Fine Arts Department, and America's National Churchill Museum.

World War I Christmas Truce Interactive Historical Reenactment

Participate alongside Westminster College Museum Studies students as we recreate the 1914 Christmas Day Truce soccer kickabout between British and German troops. There will be food, drinks, and fun!

The Mid-Missouri Friends of America's National Churchill Museum Board of Directors continues the annual tradition of decorating Sir Christopher Wren's historic Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury for Christmastide. Decorations are full of rich symbolism and inspired by magnificent 17th-century wood carvings inside the church.

Created by Westminster College Museum Studies students, Holiday in the Trenches is an immersive exhibit that highlights the experiences of WWII soldiers who were fighting on the Eastern Front during the holidays. Come see how they lived, ate, and spent their time on the line.
