Sedgwick County leadership joined the Sedgwick County Zoo to celebrate the completion of the elephant barn expansion project, which was necessary after the zoo welcomed four baby elephants to the herd last summer, with another on the way. The remodel doubled the size of the original barn, providing enough space for 12-15 elephants.
