Howdy Neighbors, 

Stay safe and warm this week as the temperatures drop. As a reminder, keep space heaters away from flammable objects, check for frayed or damaged cords, and monitor their use. Remember the 4 Ps of cold weather and take care of your Pets, Plants, Pipes, and check on People to make sure they have a means to stay warm.

The Northeast Neighborhood Alliance Meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 19th at 7:00 PM at the  Tool Yard . Their agenda will include the latest details on the San Antonio International Airport's Strategic Development Plan, a briefing on the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG) current issues, the San Antonio Housing Authority (SAHA) interactions with neighborhoods, and an update from my office. 

As a reminder, District 10 hosts a Community Meeting on the third Monday of every even month, unless otherwise stated. The Northeast Neighborhood Alliance hosts meetings on the third Monday of every odd month, unless otherwise stated. 

In anticipation of the Thanksgiving holiday, we would like to send our thanks and well wishes to you and your families for all that you do for your neighborhoods and the greater District 10 community.  Through your continued participation, each of you plays a major role in District 10's success. It is with great joy that I represent you all on a daily basis, and I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as your Councilman. 

We're hosting another holiday river barge tour on December 4 th . Please join us as we celebrate the beauty of San Antonio's River Walk and take advantage of Downtown Tuesday's free parking. More information and a registration link below. 

I look forward to seeing all of you at our Holiday Gathering on Monday, December 17 th  at Morgan's Wonderland from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. If you are able, please bring a new, unwrapped toy for donation and a dessert for our dessert potluck. The toys we collect will be distributed by Blue Santa to children in our area. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who gathered with us on November 3rd to celebrate Native American Heritage Month. The storytelling, flute and drum playing, basket making, Indian tacos, Literacy Caravan and park tours were absolutely incredible. What better way to celebrate our city's Tricentennial? Thank you to everyone who was involved in the making of this incredible event - we're already looking forward to next year.

Education Nights at The Public are an exclusive performance for youth, ages 12-18, to attend a production in the Russell Hill Rogers Theater at The San Pedro Playhouse. These performances provide access to educational learning experiences in the creative arts and live theater. Also, performances foster positive youth development and individual personal growth through increased self-expression, social engagement and exposure to potential career opportunities. Education nights are made possible through the generosity of foundations and corporations.

2018 C.O.P. Schedule

Northeast substation Citizens on Patrol classes are 1-time, 4-hr classes.  Please bring a photo ID when attending.  All necessary applications will be filled out at the beginning of each class and photos will be taken for a complimentary COP ID card.
