Dear D113 Community,

We are excited to announce that we have officially embarked on a strategic planning journey to envision the future of District 113. You can follow all the steps on this journey on the tab dedicated to this work on our website.

A group of stakeholders representing students, staff, parents/caregivers, municipal partners, sender elementary districts, and Board representatives are a part of the Strategic Plan Committee. They have agreed to devote the time and energy over several sessions to gain a better understanding of where we are now and envision where we want our future to be so that the District can thoughtfully design a path to get there. 

This important initiative will help shape the future of our district by setting clear goals, identifying priorities, and creating a shared vision for student success. We are committed to building a plan that reflects the voices of our entire community—students, families, staff, and community—and ensures that the decisions we make support the growth, achievement, and well-being of all learners. Your input is vital as we move forward together.

To that end, we are offering four in-person focus group sessions to be held on March 10 and March 11. All are invited but space is limited to 30 people per session. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis through this registration form. 

Monday, March 10

Highland Park High School Library

Session 1: 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. 

Session 2: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, March 11

Deerfield High School Library 

Session 3: 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. 

Session 4: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m

The purpose of these in-person sessions is to gather your input on the feedback generated by the Strategic Planning Committee. Each session is exactly the same. Select the session that fits best with your schedule. Unlike regular school, there is no homework and nothing you need to prepare in advance. Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity to help identify the goals and objectives that will guide District 113 over the next five years.

Nos complace anunciar que hemos iniciado oficialmente un proceso de planificación estratégica para imaginar el futuro del Distrito 113. Puede seguir todos los pasos de este proceso en la pestaña dedicada a este trabajo en nuestro sitio web.

Un grupo de partes interesadas que representa a estudiantes, personal, padres/cuidadores, socios municipales, distritos primarios emisores y representantes de la Junta forma parte del Comité de Planificación Estratégica. Han aceptado dedicar tiempo y energía a lo largo de varias sesiones para comprender mejor dónde nos encontramos actualmente y visualizar dónde queremos estar en el futuro, de modo que el Distrito pueda diseñar un camino reflexivo para llegar allí.

Esta importante iniciativa ayudará a moldear el futuro de nuestro distrito al establecer metas claras, identificar prioridades y crear una visión compartida para el éxito estudiantil. Estamos comprometidos a construir un plan que refleje las voces de toda nuestra comunidad—estudiantes, familias, personal y miembros de la comunidad—y que garantice que las decisiones que tomemos respalden el crecimiento, el logro y el bienestar de todos los estudiantes. Su opinión es fundamental a medida que avanzamos juntos.

Con ese fin, ofreceremos cuatro sesiones presenciales de grupos focales que se llevarán a cabo el 10 y 11 de marzo. Todos están invitados, pero el espacio está limitado a 30 personas por sesión.
