President’s Message
Dear District 2 Members:
It is an honor to write my initial letter as President of District 2 ASNA. We have amazing nurses in our district that have shown leadership, compassion, and dedication to our community and organization. It is my hope that we can collaborate as a team and set goals in order to grow as a district. Ideas that come to mind but are not limited include creating activities such as nurses night out, fundraisers, visiting nursing schools, etc. I am looking forward to working with everyone as we embrace 2020, The Year of the Nurse!

Message from the Outgoing President:
It has truly been an honor to represent you as President for the past year and a half (almost). As a district, we have accomplished many things. And I am certain that the momentum will continue for the next months and years. It is with much regret that I must resign from the position due to health reasons. Dr. Jennifer Humphries, President-Elect, assumed the role as president as of January 1, 2020.
Please let me know if there is any way I can assist you.

Devotional
Inspirational by Patricia Green
2020 Greetings,
Thankfulness comes to the forefront of my thinking, as we embark on a new decade filled with unknowns. We prepare for the journey through faith. As Nurses we experience a multitude of experiences where we provide for supportive assistance, and critical decision-making both personally and professionally.
We ask for the strength to seek God’s will as we help ourselves and others. The Bible says “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). As we commit to our framework for our journey, let us help set ‘a vision’ in all aspects of our life, let us ‘learn’ to live with intention, and always ask for Divine guidance in our daily life.
Remember compassion has no limits, and it feeds our emotional and spiritual fuel that results in one of the joys for living…
Keep the faith, Keep the Joy….
