Online Area Speech Contests: Congratulations 1st Place Winners!

Let’s do THE WAVE and cheer loudly for all the first-place winners from the Online Area Speech Contests held in September. Congratulations to each winner for rising to the top and inspiring us all. We can’t wait to see you shine at the October Online Division Speech Contests.

Behind the scenes at the Area Online Speech Contests

A HUGE bouquet of Thank You’s to each and every volunteer that supported the 10 online contests. To make these contests a success, each contest needed a minimum of 12 support roles filled - Toastmaster, Zoom Master, Chief Judge, Contest Chair, 6 judges, 2 ballot counters, 2 timers!

Did you miss the Club Dues Renewal deadline of September 30th?

Submit any outstanding dues as soon as possible to remain a club in good standing. This allows your members to continue competing in Speech Contests and have access to Pathways.

Having fun playing the D26 Role Game in your clubs? The game continues through November 15th. Don’t know how to start? Watch this video and download materials from the D26 website, D26 Role Game - Toastmasters District 26.

A word from our District Trio Team!

Our District Trio Team was asked “If you could share ONE THING with our D26 Toastmasters members, what would it be?”

Ruth Prentice

D26 District Director 25/26

"Let’s make this year one of intentional growth, meaningful connections, and bold leadership. I am here to support you every step of the way. Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s go! Find your confidence. Build success – one club, one member, one moment at a time."

Kimberly Angell

Program Quality Director

"Find one area to stretch into this next month. Say yes to an opportunity!"

Anoop Kumar
Club Growth Director

"Don’t wait to feel ready – step up, speak out, and grow through every imperfect moment. Toastmasters is the safest place to take bold steps."

Congratulations, District 26 Clubs!

You did it! 97% of D26 Clubs submitted Club Success Plans.

We applaud the 144 (out of 149) clubs that achieved this.

You are all on your way to being Distinguished!

Round 1 Club Officer Training (COT)

  • 738 out of 959 trained – 77% of Club Officers
  • 122 clubs earning DCP goal 9a (Training)
  • 46 clubs trained ALL officers

Pathways Update

Starting in late October, Level 1 and 2 will include completing specific meeting roles tied to learning projects. At Levels 3, 4, and 5, members continue building their skills by giving presentations from the Toastmasters Education Series. These changes reward participation and provide hands-on practice.

Global Connections, Local Impact 🌍

Anoop Kumar, D26 Club Growth Director (center), proudly represented District 26 at a joint meeting between the World Travelers Toastmasters Club (Singapore) and Anatolia Toastmasters (Türkiye). The event featured an inspiring keynote by Dilip R. Abayasekara, DTM, PIP, AS—reminding us that leadership and communication truly transcend borders.

If you visit clubs outside of District 26, we’d love to hear about it! Share your experience and help showcase the global spirit of Toastmasters..
