Monthly Virtual Town Hall
On the fourth Sunday of every month at 5:00 pm.m EST, the District 27 Director will provide a forum and opportunity for all members to attend a virtual town hall where members can get the inside scoop of District 27 operations, ask your questions, voice your concerns straight to the District 27 Director Jeanna Lee, DTM. Division Director of the Month
Division C Director Dr. Janet Boss, DTM
This month, we recognized Division C Director Dr. Boss, DTM, for being the first Division Director to complete all of her fall speech contests successfully. Dr. Boss worked with her team of area directors to execute a terrific contest with over 10 contestants among all the four areas.

Area Director of the Month
Area 51 Director Pierrette Michel
Area 51 Director Pierrette Michel was the first area director to successfully complete both her Tall Tales and Table Topics Speech Contests in coordination with Area 54 Director Portia Morris. Pierrette was also the first member to step up to be an area director in Division E and worked with Division E Director Mary Pearson to help recruit other area directors.

Extending a very special thank you to the Division Directors, Area Directors, Club Officers and Members who participated in the drive to get Membership Renewals in before the September 30, 2023 deadline. Kudos to Tariqah Nariddin, Sonya Ponds and Michelle Carter, members of the Club Growth Call Center who stepped in and assisted Division Directors. Their phone calls and email reminders that also encouraged members to self-pay their dues were critical to keeping their clubs in good standing. Your help was greatly appreciated!
Reminder: There are no new CG incentives this month; however, you may access the full list of available incentives on the District 27 website by clicking D27-Incentives. Club Secretaries and VPEs, please remind your club members who participated in any of the CG retention and/or extension incentives to turn required documents in to you to ensure credit is received for their participation.

Inspirational Message of the Month | |
|
Life is precious. Every day we have the opportunity to live. We must not take one second for granted. Being thankful for the things we have is an opportunity to count our blessings, which should not be taken lightly.
The next time you feel the need to complain or get upset because life does not seem to be going the way you planned, pause, and then reflect on what you have and count your blessings. Appreciate the things around you, the ability to feel the warmth of the sun against your face and to feel the change from one season to another. Show kindness to family, friends, or even strangers who become new friends, which can brighten someone else’s day. I could go on, but try this for yourself -- take just one day to think about all the blessings in your life. It is an eye-opening experience, one that made me look at things from a more positive perspective.
It’s the little things in life that are often taken for granted. Learn to count your blessings, fully acknowledging each one. Life is precious. Live each moment with a thankful heart, become contagious, and spread this mindset to others!
