Signage Update: Signs marking the entry of Pompano Beach are about to be updated. The new signage will ensure a consistent look and feel throughout the city. Signs will be installed along major roads, as well as a new marquee sign at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center.

Free Home Composting Kit: To help reduce landfill waste and save you money on fertilizer, Pompano Beach is offering premium composting kits completely free of charge. The kit comes with a collection basket for your kitchen and backyard bin. Learn more about composting and stop by Community Park (1660 NE 10th St.) to get your kit April 20th from 9am-2pm.

Be Prepared: It could be an active year for hurricanes. The City's emergency manager is joining our Community meeting this month. We’ll discuss weather predictions, and how you can stay safe. Join this important conversation on April 24th at 7pm at The American Legion.

Commission Highlights

  • At the City's inaugural Spring Budget Workshop I shared my priorities for our District and expectations for city millage rates to go down as the city's taxable value increases. Share your priorities with me by doing my annual budget survey.
  • The Commission voted 4-2 to grant an additional 24' height bonus to developers working on new projects in the Downtown District if they include at least 100 public parking spaces. This means some buildings near neighborhoods could be up to 157' tall. I voted no.

POLL RESULT: Should artificial turf be allowed at residential properties?
