March 2024 | Issue 13

New Bridge: Drawings for the SE 6th Terrace/NE 11th Ave bridge, which will be 27” higher than the existing bridge, are being reviewed by federal agencies. Final construction drawings will be completed this summer and permitting and contractor solicitation will begin. Construction is planned for early 2025. Follow this and other Capital Improvement Projects.

Protecting Pompano: On March 12th, Major David Ellwood was named Pompano Beach's new Chief of Police. Former roles included overseeing the Fort Lauderdale Airport and heading the BSO homicide division. Major Ellwood will be the special guest at our next Community Meeting on March 27th at 7pm at the American Legion. Stop by and say hello.

Bulk Trash: Did you know you can have up to 16 cubic yards of bulk waste picked up twice a year for free? Call 954-786-4030 to schedule pickup before placing materials at the curb.
