Lions Listener
| | Email Distribution: All Lions in District 4-C6 with Email Address on File | | MCOE Vision Clinic & Service Carnival | | Thank you to all the Clubs and Members Support | | | | |
Sunday October 5 at the Monterey County Office of Education in Salinas the Lions Vision Clinic saw over 250 patients for free eye screenings and glasses. At the same time in the parking lot Lions ran a Service Carnival for Mental Health & Well-Being with 36 nonprofits, and Lions from multiple clubs and over 40 students from Monterey County schools volunteered to help. The Cabrillo Coast Lions the Greenfield Lions cooked for over 150 people. The Hollister Lions had an awesome booth and the San Martin Lions brought a wonderful miniature pony. There was face painting, popcorn and the Salinas Rodeo Band played too. Kudos to Lions Anne Black and Randy Martino, along with Dr. Ernesto Vela, Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the Monterey County Office of Education for organizing the Service Carnival and Lions Gosia Crajka-Hernik John Smith for organizing the Vision Clinic, both were awesome events! Of course they had over 130 volunteers helping them too!

The Service Journey | Lions Clubs International | The Service Journey is an approach to living and serving well. To making a real difference people can see and feel. It encompasses four simple phases: learn, discover, act and celebrate. We love these words because they transcend organizational formulas. They have no borders. They are the essence of Lions and Leos. | | | | District Endorsed Project | | |
