Dear Neighbors,
I wanted to take this time to thank you. I know it has not been easy. We're almost at the one year mark of when all the closure began. I am extremely thankful for your patience, understanding and working with us during these times. Through frustrations and losses, we have remained together and that's what makes us stronger. I know the difficulties many of us have had. There are no words of comfort to share with everything we have seen, but know that I'm with you. I want to hear from you and understand how my team and I can assist you. I'm listening and know that I'm here to serve you. Please feel free to reach out anytime either through my office or social media. We're almost there and I'm looking forward to seeing each one of you again. Stay strong!
Stay safe & healthy!
In Community,
Supervisor Leticia Gonzalez

6.B. Madera County Child Abuse Prevention Council Annual Report 2019-2020
I want to thank our MCCAPC for their informative presentation this past Tuesday. If you haven't heard about Madera County Child Abuse Prevention Council, they are a non-profit organization serving the Central Valley. They support community efforts in prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse by promoting and facilitating education that strengthens, empowers, and preserves the dignity of individuals and families. The report shows the great work that was done by the agency. To highlight a couple of numbers, see the chart below. They had a successful social media outreach of 581,639. They worked closely with community partners, organizations, cohorts, etc. to ensure that no children or families were left behind with resources. To see the presentation, click here.

This week we had our lovely Councilwoman Evans at our BOS meeting to tell us more about Black History Month and how we can participate. We highlight her today as she is the first African American woman in Madera's City Council history.
Councilwoman Evans is a Central Valley native with experience in the public and non-profit sector. She has always been motivated to help her community. We are honored to have her represent Council District 4! Thank you Councilwoman Evans!

February is National Children's Dental Health. Taking care of baby teeth is extremely important for a child's overall health. Tooth decay can cause oral infections which can lead to more serious health problems if it is not taken care of properly. Dentists can be expensive, but thankfully, we have an awesome team that can help take care of your questions. Please refer to the information below.
