Susan Cramer - Virtual Conference Pioneer
“Why don’t you use Morse Code to Connect the Dots for the Conference?” Her husband’s words while travelling somewhere near Florida in the USA on their 6-month sojourn, clinched the deal. Take another look at the flyer for the 2020 D42 Conference. Decipher the dots and look for the words connect and virtual.

Did you know? The ladybug was chosen to represent everyone. No gender, race or form and universality as a symbol for luck and Spring. Who could ask for more?

A Proxy Makes Sure Your Vote Counts
A Club proxy insures your voice is heard at the Annual Business Meeting held during the  2020 Virtual Convention .

Club presidents and secretaries received emails notifying them to assign the club votes. Furthermore, votes must be assigned even if you are assigning the votes to yourself. Finally, to qualify for a nomination as President of the Year, votes must be assigned.

Sailing to Leadership Success
Congratulations and thank you to our Division Directors who hosted Leadership Training for our members and club leaders. June 14, 24 and 27 we had 21 break out rooms with dynamic facilitators and Sergeant at Arms, 13 keynote speakers, 3 entertaining MC’s, 8 tech team members and 3 very large zoom meetings. Over 600 people jumped on board and sailed to success. We wish you continued smooth sailing in your clubs throughout this year. Watch the calendar for more training opportunities in August. All Toastmasters are invited to attend.

DTM Victory in 2020
Toastmasters started in 1924 and has grown to over 143 Countries. We are over 360,00 members.  Only 1% of members will achieve Distinguished Toastmasters.

The road to DTM, although varied for each Toastmaster, the experience includes:

  • Delivering at least 40 speeches,
  • Leadership roles at the club and district level,
  • Speech Contest experience as a contestant or judge,
  • Inspiring confidence for Community Youth and Adults,
  • Training, Facilitating, Mentoring, and
  • The foundation of our program: Giving and Receiving Feedback

Taking the DTM journey results in a confident speaker and leader that serves their fellow members and community with respect, integrity and excellence. Wearing a DTM pin makes you part of the elite who forever will represent what we achieve step by step with support and encouragement.
