From the Desk of the District Director

HAPPY TOASTMASTER NEW YEAR!!!!

We are excited to start the new year with a fresh team, new officers, and our valued members. We have much to look forward to. As we all plan for the 2022-2023 Toastmasters Year, remember that there is much to learn, achieve, and give. This year look forward to more hybrid meetings. Look forward to more member support. Look forward to helpful resources. Look forward to building better connections.

What is your Toastmasters New Year's Resolution? Will it be to integrate Pathway into our work and personal lives? Will it be to finish that project for DTM? Will it be to mentor a member that needs your help? Will it be to volunteer and become an Area Director? We still have openings. Will you decide that this is your year to compete in a contest or start the Accredited Speaker Program? Whatever you plan to do, stay focused, stay positive, and connect with others.

Al Frank Talamantez from in District 55 is one of the two winners in the Region 3 Quarterfinals. Al will compete in the Semifinals at the Toastmasters International Convention in Nashville from August 17-20, 2022.

Serving as a District Leader is a requirement for achieving Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award.

More importantly, it is your opportunity to learn more about yourself. On this journey of self-discovery, you will learn about your strengths and weaknesses as a leader. What is more, you would be surrounded by caring, supportive, and strong leaders who will help you remove your weaknesses, so that you come out as an even stronger leader at the end of your Area Director term.
