2019 Speech Evaluation and International Speech contests
District 60 will host two contests in the 2018-2019 Toastmasters year: Speech Evaluation and International Speech. Contest season will start January 2019 and culminate at the annual conference scheduled for April 13 -14, 2019.

The decision to host Speech Evaluation and International Speech contests was made after consultation with members and the District Executive Committee. The logistics of scheduling more than two contests at a two-day conference were also considered, plus the expense to members of potentially extending the conference over three days to accommodate more contests.

We thank all the members who weighed in with their opinions and look forward to your support in the coming year.
Contest Periods - Mark your calendars!
Speech Evaluation and International speech contests must start at the club level and proceed through the area and division to the district contests. Please schedule your contests during the following periods:

Jan 7 - Feb 2, 2019

Feb 3 - Feb 23, 2019

Annual conference - April 13-14, 2019
The annual District 60 conference will be held in Toronto on April 13 - 14, 2019.
This past Spring's conference was “Simply the Best” and we’re looking to provide an exceptional experience that takes it to the next level.
Be sure to book the dates in your calendar now, and look forward to more incredible information, including a letter you can take to your employer asking them to pay for this learning event as part of your development plan.
Guaranteed to be an amazing event as we have two seasoned Toastmasters taking the reigns as Conference Co-Chairs: Victoria Nguyen and Andrew Mertens.

Stay tuned for workshops and training on running fabulous contests as our new Contest Chair, Ross Mackay, takes the helm to ensure clubs, areas, divisions and the district have the best contests ever!
