Healthy Living Month Is Here!

We are excited to kick off Healthy Living Month on Tuesday, April 7, 2025—a district-wide initiative dedicated to promoting wellness and healthy habits for our students and community! Our goal is to encourage healthy bodies and healthy minds through engaging activities, resources, and weekly challenges centered around the themes below:

Weekly Themes

📅 Week 1 (April 7-13): Health & Nutrition Week

🚶 Week 2 (April 14-20): Neat to Use Your Feet

🌱 Week 3 (April 21-27): Go Green

📵 Week 4 (April 28-May 4): Screen-Free Week

How It Works

Each student will receive a Healthy Living Month Bingo card, featuring a variety of health-related challenges. As students complete each weekly challenge, they will initial the corresponding box. At the end of the month, students who have completed all challenges will have their card signed by a parent and submit it to their classroom teacher.

All completed cards will be entered into a schoolwide raffle, where winners will have a unique opportunity to co-teach a P.E. class alongside their teacher! Winners will also receive a swag bag from Advocate Children's Hospital.

Please check out this link for more information on Healthy Living Month and the weekly challenges!

Maine East Fine Arts Resource Drive

As our instrumental music and visual arts programs continue to grow, we are excited to welcome many new students who are passionate about the arts.

To support them, we are collecting donations of musical instruments—both working and non-working—that we can refurbish or recycle for student use. We are also seeking 35mm film and digital cameras to enhance opportunities for students in our expanding photography program.
