D64 Solo & Ensemble Festivals

The 2025 District 64 Solo & Ensemble Festivals were a resounding success, bringing together over 600+ student musicians for two evenings of exceptional performances and valuable learning experiences. The Band Solo & Ensemble Festival took place on February 6th, followed by the Orchestra Solo & Ensemble Festival on March 6th. Both events provided students with an opportunity to showcase their musical talents in a supportive and celebratory environment.

Each festival featured students performing either as soloists or in small ensembles, such as duets, trios, and quartets. Participants prepared and refined their selected pieces in advance, ensuring they were performance-ready for their respective festivals. Students performed in front of an audience of family and friends while being evaluated by a judge who provided constructive feedback on elements such as tone, technique, and musical expression.
