As many of you see firsthand, we have tremendous educators and community members who do so much for our children. While their hard work often goes unnoticed, we have a special opportunity to honor a group for their positive impact in our schools and for making District 64 a better place.
We're thrilled to recognize and celebrate our staff and volunteers who were named Those Who Excel Award winners by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). Congratulations to this group for this great honor:

The D64 Science Olympiad 2024 was A BLAST! We had more than 200 4th and 5th graders working together and competing in Aerodynamics, Egg Drop, Mystery Box, Rubber Band Catapult, and Structures.
Congrats to all the medalists! And, of course, thank you to all of the volunteers and staff who put in a lot of time outside of school to make this happen.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for (audience)? Why should they care (benefit)? What do I want them to do (call-to-action)?
Create a great offer by adding words like "free," "personalized," "complimentary," or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take action, so consider inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"

We have another Parent U event scheduled on Tuesday, February 27th at 7:00 pm in the Hendee Rooms (8200 Greendale Avenue Niles, IL 60714), where we will be hosting a viewing of the short film Angst. The film includes interviews with kids, teens, educators, experts, and parents to raise awareness around anxiety. The recommended age is 5th-8th grade parents and students.
The goal of Angst is to help people identify and understand the symptoms of anxiety and encourage them to reach out for help. Angst screens in schools, corporations, communities and theaters around the world. The film and corresponding materials provide tools, resources and above all, hope.
The North Cook Regional Office of Education/Intermediate Service Center partnered with Angst creator/producer/director Scilla Andreen to offer this for free to our community. View a trailer for the movie.
Please RSVP to the free viewing of Angst.
