Showing School Spirit

Our schools and families are starting off fall with some fantastic school spirit! Field and Carpenter had their school-wide fundraisers today. For Field, it was the Walk-A-Thon, and for Carpenter, it was the Track-A-Thon. These events are always a favorite for our students.

Different schools, but the goals were the same...run a lot of laps to help raise money for new playgrounds designed to support children of all abilities! Field has already eclipsed their goal of $20,000 and has raised more than $28,000. Carpenter set a historical goal of raising $100,000.

Thank you to the Carpenter PTO and Field PTO for their work on these school-wide fundraisers, and we appreciate all the volunteers who made it happen.

Building A Community

All of our schools across District 64 do an excellent job creating a community within their buildings. This week we get a front-row seat to how Carpenter Elementary School does that with their Cougar Dens.

What is a Cougar Den? It's a family within the school! Each den comprises students from each grade...so kindergarten through 5th grade, and they meet every month to do fun team-building activities.
