Hendee Family takes a final lap around old District 64 headquarters

On Monday, Superintendent Dr. Eric Olson and the Hendee family went around the Raymond E. Hendee Educational Service Center (ESC) building one more time before the new owners took over.

Dorothy Hendee, the widow of Raymond, took just a few steps into the old district office, and her face immediately lit up.

"The memories just come flooding back. Memories of all the people that aren't here anymore."

Her late husband, Raymond, was the District 64 Superintendent from 1970-1990.
