Welcome Back Mr. Csongradi!

Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 has selected Paul Csongradi to be an assistant principal at Emerson Middle School, effective July 31, pending Board approval. He will work alongside Principal Tessa Shulman and Assistant Principal Maria Soulias at Emerson.

It's a homecoming for Csongradi, who is already familiar with D64 and Emerson. He was a 7th/8th-grade science/social studies teacher at Emerson for five years. Most recently, Csongradi has worked as the Assistant Principal for Student Affairs and Activities at Saint Patrick High School in Chicago.

You can read more about Csongradi on our website.

Taste Of Park Ridge

The Taste of Park Ridge is underway through Saturday night, and a group of District 64 volunteers helped get things going on day one.

Stationed at the ticket booth, we had the opportunity to greet people as they came to either get tickets or simply say hello.

Board President Dr. Denise Pearl, Board Secretary Matt Doubleday, and Board Members Phyllis Lubinski and Rachel Georgakis joined Superintendent Dr. Ben Collins. As we handed out tickets for the local fare, the community shared their stories of summer so far or what they’ve been up to since they’ve gone on to D207 and college.

Seeing all the D64 students - present, past, and future was great!

Carwash: An Ukulele Collective Puts On A Show

The Park Ridge Farmers Market offers families a fun experience supporting local businesses of all types, and this past weekend the community was treated to the musical stylings of Carwash: An Ukulele Collective.

Seven D64 teachers make up the band, and they put on a tremendous performance as people walked around the market. They even braved the rain and some gloomy conditions to ensure the show continued!

We have some incredibly talented teachers, and their music was the perfect compliment to the fun happening around the market. Not only were there a lot of students in the crowd, but it was also great to see Carpenter Principal Brett Balduf and Board Member Rachel Georgakis supporting Carwash: An Ukulele Collective.
