Celebrating With Pie

Phoebe's Pie Patrol: Nothing like a Friday assembly and tossing some pies at your teachers and principals! Field sending us into the weekend with a smile.

This was a celebration of Field's CARES program and students demonstrating skills for learning (being respectful and responsible) throughout October.

Shoutout to Mr. Mata, Mrs. Thornton, Mrs. Ireland, Mrs. Keehn, Ms. MacBain, Mrs. Donnelly, or Dr. Goodman who got a pie in the face!

Fall Fest At Carpenter

Carpenter Elementary School held its Fall Fest today. It was a festive atmosphere, with all the students outside playing more than two dozen different games! I saw some great costumes, spirit wear, and jerseys. I'll have a video from this out next week!

On Air: With Mayor Maloney

Lights, camera, action!  Last week, Park Ridge Mayor Marty Maloney was interviewed by Mr. Taglia's Broadcast Class at Lincoln Middle School. A great real-world experience getting to ask a city leader questions.

Holiday Food Basket Drive

District 64 and the Park Ridge Kiwanis Club are thrilled to partner for the Holiday Food Basket Drive again.

There are about 150 families throughout District 64 who struggle with food insecurity. The goal is to present a Mariano’s gift card to all families in need. The gift card for Mariano’s grocery store will be specific to groceries; additionally, Mariano’s will provide a coupon for a ham and pie as part of the basket.

You can find out how to donate by visiting d64.org.
