The District 64 Board of Education will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, August 17th, in the Hendee Rooms at the Jefferson Early Childhood Center. There will be a closed meeting at 6:00 pm, with the regular meeting starting at 7:00 pm.

D64 has selected Jacquelyn Peters to be an assistant principal at Roosevelt Elementary School, pending Board approval. She will work alongside Principal Dr. Kevin Dwyer.

Mrs. Peters joins us after spending the past 10 years teaching first and second grade at Willard Elementary School in River Forest District 90. "I think we have the greatest job in the world," she said. "To work with kids and watch them grow and develop into the people that they will be for the rest of their lives." 

Since she joined the team late in the summer, Mrs. Peters wanted to share this video with the community introducing herself!
