Next week is National Social-Emotional Learning Week (March 4th-8th)! Here are some resources for families that go over what SEL is and why it matters.

SEL is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to:

  • develop healthy identities,
  • manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals,
  • feel and show empathy for others,
  • establish and maintain supportive relationships, and
  • make responsible and caring decisions.

Helping Those In Need

Carpenter Elementary School families helped collect 250 sacked lunches for those in need this week. Working with Uncle Pete's Lunches, the meals were delivered to St. Stanislaus Kostka Soup Kitchen, Marillac Center Food Pantry, Deborah's Place, and Franciscan Day Program.

Excellent job, Carpenter!
