The Power of Support
Being part of a supportive community can significantly impact your success. Having a common goal – such as building communication skills – while working alongside others provides encouragement and accountability. Connect with fellow Toastmasters in our district community to find support, share experiences, and access extra resources to enhance your journey.
Being a Toastmaster is an investment in your future. You have paid your membership. Get the largest ROI by taking advantage of all we have to offer. Your District offers skill building workshops and training – take advantage of these starting with our Welcome to Toastmasters/Pathways 101 double workshop. Although designed for new members, it’s for everyone who has not yet attended no matter how long they’ve been a member. Your club probably offers its own onboarding. This workshop does not take the place of what your club provides to new members, it adds to it.
As your District Director, I am looking forward to connecting with you at a training soon. Check this newsletter or the latest edition of our “65 Second Update" for registration information.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season with family and friends.

Integrity | Respect | Service | Excellence
hem tI
These four words are the guiding principles for every Toastmaster member.
Much like our club environment, our members are individuals, but together they harness power and opportunity.
Everything we do as leaders is built on the foundation of excellence, closely followed by service to others. With integrity and intention we lead by serving other members and respecting them on their educational journey.
With these principles in mind, I encourage every club officer to attend Phase 2 Club Officer Training, conducted both online and in person throughout November, December, and January. You have been elected to serve your club and a fundamental aspect of that role is engaging in the biannual club officer training sessions. These interactive sessions provide an opportunity to share best practices and learn from your peers in the district and the wider Toastmasters community.
The confirmed training dates are:
- December 2nd (online)
- January 18th (in person – Rochester)
- January 21st (online)
Please visit the District calendar at https://tmdistrict65.org/calendar/ for more information and registration links.

\This year marks an extraordinary milestone – Toastmasters International’s 100th anniversary! A century of empowering individuals to communicate, lead, and transform their lives is truly a cause for celebration. Join us as we honor this remarkable achievement and express our heartfelt appreciation to each member who has contributed to our journey.
From humble beginnings in 1924 to becoming a global network of over 350,000 members, Toastmasters has played an instrumental role in shaping confident speakers and effective leaders. This year in particular, we celebrate not only the legacy of Toastmasters International but the dedication, growth, and perseverance of the members who make it all possible.
I encourage all of you to hold a member appreciation party, as a tribute to YOU – the lifeblood of Toastmasters. Whether your club is comprised of seasoned members with decades of experience, a newer member taking their first steps on the path of growth, or former members and guests who the club invites back, the commitment to self-improvement and to helping others succeed is what makes Toastmasters truly special.
Make the member appreciation party a fun-filled evening that promotes laughter, memories, and reflections on the incredible stores that have shaped our Toastmasters community. Share inspiring testimonials, enjoy interactive games, and toast to the countless friendships, achievements, and personal transformations that have happened within your clubs. I encourage photographs from the parties, and I will be looking forward to seeing them!
Thank you all for being part of the Toastmasters’ journey. Here is to 100 years of excellence! I look forward to celebrating with you all at the District 65 Conference in April!
