Toastmasters is where leaders are made

Did you sign up for Toastmasters so that you could improve your communication skills? As a communication and leadership organization, don’t stop halfway, make sure to embrace all your opportunities. Helen Blanchard, Past International President famously said, “If you get all there is to get out of Toastmasters, you’ll never get out of Toastmasters” There’s always more to learn!

As a club officer: A one-year term (some clubs have 6-month terms), each officer role, when fully embraced, expands your leadership knowledge. Attending training will help you learn more about your role and will also provide networking opportunities.

The level after Club Officer is Area Director, where instead of leading only your club, you expand to helping 4 clubs. They have their own club officers, but now you share your experiences with them, while learning more about how districts work and more of the benefits of Toastmasters. This role is very rewarding, is the favorite role of many Toastmasters leaders.

You’ll be helping others, expanding your network, and learning greater organization and project management skills.

There are education and training sessions available at all Toastmasters levels.

We’re a supportive organization!

Update from the PQD:

Planning for the District Conference “Dare to Succeed” is well underway! Below are a few exciting opportunities and annoucements regarding the Conference:

Conference Club Donated Baskets

In previous years, District 65 asked clubs to donate a raffle basket for the Conference. Attendees could purchase tickets to place in front of each basket, and a winning ticket was drawn from each bucket. The more tickets you placed, the higher your chances of winning. Funds from ticket sales were donated to District 65.

This Spring, we're pleased to re-introduce the club-supplied baskets filled with donated items. To boost the anticipation, tickets placed for each basket will be counted and the club with the most tickets will win a certificate (amount to be decided) for the Toastmasters International store. Let's create compelling baskets and may the best one win!  Get involved and start planning your club's basket today!

Let’s See You Smile!

Throughout the Conference, we would like to profile District 65 clubs and their members. Therefore, can I please ask that you send a club photo to District65PQD@gmail.com – no later than March 31, 2025.
