Village of Glen Ellyn Market Francais

The Village of Glen Ellyn invites all District 41 families and staff to Market Francais on Wednesday, April 26. There are many activities for families to enjoy and to learn about Glen Ellyn's Sister City in France. Click Here for more information.

French Street Mime: As a new addition this year, a French Street Mime will be providing entertainment throughout the entire event, and will offer balloon artistry for children.

Caricature Artist: Former Walt Disney World caricature artist will be on hand to draw live caricatures for participants throughout the event. A $10 donation is requested, with the proceeds helping to offset the Market Francais event expenses.

French Bulldog Parade: New this year, 8-10 rescued French Bulldogs will be in attendance. There will be a brief parade at 6:30 p.m., followed by one on one meet and greets with willing guests.

Unveiling of Sister City Mural: A mural depicting the Sister City partnership and the unity of the two cities will be unveiled during the event. The mural, to be painted by community members on April 22, will be unveiled at Market Francais and ultimately housed in the Village.

Virtual Reality Experience: The Glen Ellyn Public Library will be offering attendees the opportunity to virtually visit France, with the ability to see certain landmarks and even visit our Sister City itself. The age range for this VR experience is 8-and-up. Children between the ages of 8-18 will need to have a parent sign the VR waiver, which will be provided.
