STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS
 Last Wednesday, May 4th, Mayor Sylvester Turner laid out his priorities for the year in his first State of the City Address.  Council Member Cisneros supports the Mayor's initiatives including the appointment of former Council Member Stephen Costello as "Flood Czar", as well as, increasing the availability to jobs for Houston's youth through Hire Houston Youth.  She will work with the Mayor to ensure District H receives its fair share of services, especially during these times of difficult financial constraints.  Council Member Cisneros stands with the Mayor as he proclaims "This is our city!"
TURN AROUND HOUSTON
Turnaround Houston!  is an initiative to address the barriers to employment that many Houstonians face.  The program offers access to job training, resume writing, tattoo removal, social service agencies, educational institutions, counseling and intervention to help hard to employ Houstonians turn their lives around.

CIGNA SUNDAY STREETS
Cigna Sunday Streets opens a stretch of streets, normally reserved for vehicles, to allow for cycling, walking, and socializing with neighbors.  Street closures will take place on White Oak Drive between Watson and Heights.  

All residents are invited to come out and enjoy our city's neighborhoods!
