Cinco de Mayo Parade 2018
Join Council Member Cisneros for the League of United Latin American Citizens' (LULAC) annual Cinco de Mayo Parade, starting at the corner of Hamilton and Texas in Downtown Houston. This festive parade will gather elected officials, members of the community, businesses, schools, colleges, and others to walk and dance to the rhythm of Hispanic music. Click here for more info.

Second Ward: Piñatafest 2018
Come celebrate the 2nd Annual Piñatafest, a free, family-friendly community event in the East End Cultural District coinciding with Cinco de Mayo. Celebrating the cultural tradition of piñata-making and its long-lived presence throughout Houston’s 2nd Ward , Piñatafest will feature live music, an outdoor juried sculpture exhibition, lots of free family-friendly activities, and local street vendors offering food, drinks, and crafts. Piñatafest Art Ride: Explore East End Murals
Artist Celestina Billington & BikeHouston will host a social art ride through East End Houston to explore murals. The ride will culminate on the Navigation Esplanade for the celebration of Piñatafest 2018 Sculpture Exhibition presented by the East End Foundation.
