Early Childhood & The Future of Our Nation
Join Council Member Cisneros at a free screening of the film, The Raising of America: Early Childhood and the Future of Our Nation . The film addresses a new way to look at and think about Public Health, and the long-term implications not just for an individual, but what that means to the future of a city. Thank you to Harris County Department of Education and Harris County Public Health Department for hosting this event.

Has Your Home Experienced Flooding?
The City Of Houston will submit a grant application on behalf of interested homeowners to FEMA, requesting funds for elevation of flood-prone homes. For inclusion in the application, click here for instructions and forms, which must be submitted by Friday, August 25, 2017 at 5 pm.

Near Northside Mobile PIP Meeting
Last night, HPD took Council Member Cisneros and Near Northside community members on a police tour through the Near Northside to identify and prioritize crime spots in the area . The tour was part of HPD Central Division's Positive Interactions Program (PIP) and was a huge success. Many thanks to HPD for the tour, Leonel Castillo Community Center for hosting, and all of the community members that participated.
