2nd Ward: Council Member Cisneros' Last TechConnect Fair Next Friday, 7/13
Learn to code, participate in interactive tech activities, and enjoy  FREE FAMILY FUN  at the third of four annual TechConnect Fairs. HCC Manufacturing, the Library's mobile technology lab, Rice University, and the TechConnect Interns will join Council Member Cisneros at next Friday's event. Eastex-Jensen: Houston Arts Alliance Grants Workshop
Council Member Cisneros invites you to a workshop in District H on current and upcoming funding opportunities for individual artists and community-based organizations with arts/cultural programming. Teens: Enter HPL's Get Graphic: Amateur Comic Book Creation Contest!
The Houston Public Library (HPL) is calling all teen graphic artist between the ages of 11 and 18 to enter its Get Graphic: Amateur Comic Creation Contest. If they’re into creating comic style short stories then here’s their chance to show-off their great talent! Teens must enter their creations by 8/1/18.  Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners. Carnegie Library: Para Los Niños
If your family's first language is Spanish, you are invited to attend the Children's Museum's Para Los Niños program at Carnegie Library later this month. The program consists of a workshop providing parents with a model of how and what to read to a child, hands-on activities easily replicated at home, info on free resources, and free passes to the Children's Museum of Houston.
