Tonight - 2nd Open Forum: Western Downtown Master Plan
The City of Houston's General Services Department is hosting a second open forum for the community to discuss the long term vis ion for the City of Houston properties in Western Downtown. At this meeting, the team will discuss the progress made on the Facilities, Land-use and Financial Plans and ask for feedback as they begin to pull the master plan together.

TX Senate Dist. 6 Election: Early Voting & Election Day Info
Don't forget to vote in the special election for Texas Senate District 6! Early voting started this week and will continue every day until December 7th. The Greater Northside Chamber of Commerce is hosting an education resource night open to the entire Northside community! Education providers throughout the neighborhood will be on site to share information on the services they can provide to you or your children, and the guest speaker will be Dr. Destry Dokes, President of HCC's Northeast campus. Metal and Muscle: Volunteers Needed!
The Houston Parks & Recreation Department's Adaptive Recreation will be hosting the 9th annual Metal & Muscle Expo on 12/7-12/9. The event will feature Paralympic and other disabled sport clinics as well as individual and team competitions.  Volunteers are needed ; click here to register.

Help a Student In Need!
Get in the holiday spirit by sponsoring an at-risk student's wish list this year. Northside High School has an annual program that matches eligible students with individual or group sponsors to provide for their tangible needs during this season. Gifts are due by Friday, 12/14.
