The Houston Public Library and My Brother's Keeper are holding a community and literacy fair in Denver Harbor TOMORROW. Join Council Member Cisneros at the event and receive free immunizations, a free bag of groceries, and a free book for each attending child. There will be snacks, games, and prizes. Come out for some summer fun!

Rebuild Houston Needs Volunteers   
     Tomorrow is Avenue CDC's Rebuilding Northside Together event dedicated to repairing 10 homes in the Near Northside and Northline.  Volunteers are still needed! Click here to sign up.

Houston Citizens' Police Academy Accepting Applications
   To register and submit your application for fall 2017 classes at Houston Citizens' Police Academy, click here or call 713-308-3263. Classes run from August to November in 3 hour blocks of instruction at various HPD facilities.

  SafeWalk Northside Proclamation
   Council Member Cisneros has been a supporter of SafeWalk Home Northside since its inception, and was pleased to present the Mayor's proclamation this week in Public Session, honoring the program for its work in keeping the children of the Northside safe while commuting to school.
