Near Northside: Fun, Free Easter Event
Join the Friends of Northside this Saturday for an Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 1 - 13. From 11 am - 1 pm, you can even get a picture with the Easter Bunny. Don't forget to bring a basket/bag!

Promoting Environmental Awareness in the 2nd Ward
This weekend check out the BioArt Bayou-torium, a free, bilingual science lab and art studio created by artist Henry Sanchez on the banks of Buffalo Bayou. Also, don't miss the free pontoon boat tours that introduce and educate visitors about the complex ecosystem, stories and history of Buffalo Bayou.  More info here .

High School Students, Future Civic Leaders
Applications for the Youth Advocacy Summit 2019 are now open until 5/15/19. YAS 2019 is a 5 day training where high school students from all over Houston learn about community issues, leadership skills, and meet with elected officials/candidates. Students eligible for free/reduced lunch qualify for a scholarship. Apply here.
