We need to hear from you on how the city should invest the ARPA funding. Please complete the survey here and let the City know what is important to you!
Affordable Housing
It is "Affordable Housing Season," that time of year when developers can apply for the State’s annual Affordable Housing 9% Tax Credit Program. This is a program developed by the State to bring workforce apartment developments into eligible neighborhoods. This program is one of the strongest tools we have to protect neighborhoods from gentrification.

The State's process, which is operated by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA), has an extremely narrow time-frame for developers to submit their applications; the process moves very quickly! Developers may begin reaching out to civic organizations and to my office to share information about their proposals. Learn more here.
