     Council Member Cisneros Presents Annual TechConnect Fair Series
Learn to code, see a 3D printer at work, participate in fun, interactive tech activities, and enjoy FREE FAMILY FUN at one or more of the TechConnect Fairs offered by Council Member Cisneros this summer. Many thanks to our partners: Boeing, HCC, HISD, Rice University, and the Houston Public Library's Mobile Express team.

  • July 21st, 1-4pm @ Carnegie Neighborhood Library, 1050 Quitman St.
Moody Park BCycle Station Opening 
Council Member Cisneros is proud to announce and to have funded yet another BCycle Station at Moody Park. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at Moody Park on Thursday, June 29th at 10 am .
   Free Community Health Fair in Independence Heights 
A Community Health Fair offering free health services will be held at Providence MB Church on August 5th from 9 am - 2 pm. Email to register so you can utilize the following services:
  • HIV testing
  • Blood pressure
  • Hearing aids
  • Cholesterol screening

Council Member Cisneros, Houston Parks & Rec, and community partners will be unveiling the newest early health and literacy themed playground in Houston. Join us for the book give-away, story time, music, snacks, and playground play.

     Houston Citizens Police Academy  
Classes at Houston Citizens' Police Academy run from August to November in 3 hour blocks of instruction at various HPD facilities. To register and submit your application for fall 2017 classes, call 713-308-3263 or click here 
 Need Assistance During Emergency Events? 
The State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry (STEAR) is an open, free registry that provides local emergency planners and emergency responders with additional information on the needs in their community. Disabled, elderly, and those that require medial assistance during a medical event should apply here.
Download the 311 app to your Android or iPhone When you see an issue in your neighborhood,  use the app to report it . You can even include photos! If you prefer to talk directly to a representative about your issue, or want to request information about City resources, birth certificates, elections, and more, call 713-837-0311.
