  Council Member Cisneros' 2nd Annual TechConnect Series Concludes
Council Member Cisneros's last TechConnect Fair of the summer concluded on July 21st. Serving a cumulative 140 patrons in District H, each of the four TechConnect Fairs  provided c oding lessons, one-on-one interactive tech activities, and the live presentation of 3D printer capabilities. Many thanks to the following partners: AECOM, The Boeing Company, Rice University, HCC, and the Houston Public Library. Council Member Cisneros looks forward to planning next summer's round of TechConnect Fairs for District H!
REGISTER FOR THE MAYOR'S BACK 2 SCHOOL FEST
It's not too late to register for the Mayor's Back To School Fest on August 12th at the George R. Brown Convention Center. With the help of partners and sponsors, backpacks, school supplies, health screenings, immunizations, and social service resources will be provided to thousands of students, free of charge.  
FREE Back-To-School Immunizations Starting This Thursday
The Children's Museum of Houston is offering free immunizations every Thursday of August. Bring your child's immunization records and click here for more information.

  • 5-7 pm; 150 children/day will be served
Northside Back to School Health & Resource Fair This Saturday!
Council Member Cisneros is proud to provide support to State Representative Jessica Farrar's 2017 Northside Back to School Fair. Come to Moody Park Community Center at 3725 Fulton on August 5th from 8 - 11 am for the following services and more:
  • Health, Dental, & Vision Screenings
  • Backpacks
  • School Supplies
  • Healthy Food Fair Distribution
  • Raffles
  • Zumba/Aerobic Exercise Demonstrations
Free Community Health Fair in Independence Heights 
A Community Health Fair offering free health services will be held at Providence MB Church on August 5th from 9 am - 2 pm. Email to register so you can utilize the following services:
  • HIV testing
  • Blood pressure
  • Hearing aids
  • Cholesterol screening
   Free Back To School Backpacks at ABC Dental  
In this Back-To-School event co-hosted by the Houston Police Department and ABC Dental, there will be complimentary health screenings, vaccinations, and backpacks filled with school supplies.
