Woodbury Demolition Begins Next Week

The Woodbury demolition is slated to begin early next week. Abatement is complete in the gym, pool and west wing of the building. Abatement is ongoing in the east wing and the 1917 building (center of the Woodbury building that will be renovated). Mass demolition will begin with the pool, then move to the gym in August. Tree protection fencing will be completed by the end of this week, prior to the start of mass demolition. The District and Gilbane are developing signage for parts of the construction fence to show a rendering of the new Woodbury building.

Ludlow Renovation Update

The Ludlow renovation is proceeding as planned. Grading work has begun at the south side of the building for the playground. Foundation work is ongoing for the new vestibule and ramp entrance. Walls are being set for the vestibule, as well. Ductwork installation is taking place in the gymnasium. Various other types of work are ongoing, including painting, wood floor staining, and installation of the elevator shaft, restroom wall tile, roofing, windows, and plumbing and lighting fixtures. Various inspections by the City building department are scheduled to take place at the end of July and in early August.
