Board of Education Approves Woodbury GMP for Abatement, Selective Interior Demolition

At the March 11 Board of Education meeting, the Board approved a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) of $2.5 million for abatement and selective interior demolition at the Woodbury building. The construction fence is expected to be placed around the Woodbury building in mid-April. Abatement work inside the building will take place in late April, then the select interior demolition is expected to begin in late May.

Take a Survey for Woodbury Traffic Study

A traffic consultant is conducting a study to determine traffic patterns for the new Middle Years Building at the current Woodbury site. As part of the traffic study, the consultant is doing a survey of how students travel to and from the existing Middle School and how they expect to travel when the school moves to the Woodbury site. Current Middle School families may click here to take the survey.

Administrators Tour Ludlow for Progress Update

Earlier today, Gilbane led a tour through Ludlow for District administrators to see the progress of the renovation. The Ludlow renovation is well underway. The construction crew is working on installing plumbing and electrical infrastructure, framing walls, and adding heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).

At the Joint District-City Work Session on Tuesday, City officials and District administrators discussed the Ludlow playground expansion. GPD Group is working on renderings for a playground that includes preschool equipment and equipment for older children.
