Woodbury Design Presentation to FAC

Architects at GPD Group continue to revise the renderings for the new Middle Years building at the Woodbury site. The architects have taken feedback from parents, residents and District staff into consideration. The new renderings will be presented to the Facilities Advisory Committee at their next meeting on June 9.

The construction fence has been erected around Woodbury. Within the fence, Gilbane Building Company is responsible for mowing the lawn, which will begin next week. The District’s grounds team will maintain the lawn outside the fence.

Ludlow Renovation Update

Renovations at Ludlow are going well. Contractors have proceeded with exterior wall demolition in order to build a new vestibule, where students will enter the building. Excavation and cleaning of masonry is taking place on the outside of the building, in addition to removal and patching of limestone pieces around the existing windows. Painting in second floor classrooms and corridors is ongoing, in addition to ceiling tile installation. Wood floor staining in classrooms and light fixture installation in corridors on the second floor has begun.
